True Jesus or False Jesus?

There seems to be a lot of confusion & misunderstanding as to what the True Gospel is…  that in itself means that over many a long year lots of things have been twisted up in all of our understandings   –  but if we are people who walk in spirit & in Truth – accepting & believing on the Lord Jesus – we need to be clear on what the true Gospel is & who Jesus is.

Jesus was born fully God & fully man to redeem the world from sin. ( as all have sinned & fallen short of God’s original plan) Jesus was provided as a perfect sacrifice in our place. In his death – he bought us a way to (re) connect with the father (as our sin would separate us otherwise & cause us eternal death)

He died on a cross (crucifixion) of his own free will & was resurrected to life after 3 days. He now lives in heaven at the right hand of the father – He will return again to judge the living & the dead. The gift of this grace of salvation is free for all who repent of their sin, accept him; by their own free will & conviction believe in him & accept (confess) him as their living Lord.

In my Experience, Jesus was completely sidelined out of the picture in our River experience..  he was no longer or mentioned or referenced  …  in  the nearly 3 years  we were involved with Bethel I maybe heard the Gospel preached just once.  It was almost as though we have moved on from all that    whilst we seek the Glory of God’s presence.  Our focus was very definately on daddy God all of the time

Here’s the thing- how can people respond to that which they have never heard?

Phillippians 2 v 5-11 (ESV)

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The issue is:

have I repented of my sin? – do I understand that I am a sinner saved by grace & that there is nothing I can do to be more or less favoured by God.

The price is now paid by Jesus’ perfect sacrifice  – we have to realise that Jesus  died on the cross & that we must die too-  in a death to self in order to follow him.

Galatians 5 v 24    says:     those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

I am now free in him to have relationship with God. – All I need now do is humbly accept this free gift of his death & resurrection that bring me new life . My acceptance of him insubmission– surrendering to His word & his leading.

The hard truth is that until we have reached that place of understanding & acceptance; we are not living in the fullness of believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. It follows then, (& I know this is extremely hard to hear) that until this realisation is actioned in our lives, We cannot biblically, legitimately even consider ourselves as saved, & thus call our selves a Christian.

If you are feeling conviction right now, From the Holy Spirit that things are off balance in your understanding or that you genuinely have responded to these truths for the first time    –     Email us.   –  It is quite important that you find someone you consider to be a genuine christian in these terms we have explained to talk these things through with

Certainly, if you are in shock right now you will be realising the things that you have been taught that you thought were sound & solid up to this point really haven’t been. Sadly you have been under deception. Now is the time to live in the truth.

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said: ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’ John 8 v 31-32

please, whatever you do next, determine to walk in a place of freedom & truth from now on

  1. Zazzy you of course are completely right , what very confused thinking on the other two comments.
Jesus was fully man and fully God see is said clearly in the Bible in John 1 v 1-5 “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All these things came into being through Him and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
In Him was life and the life was the Light of men. The light shines in the dark but the darkness did not comprehend it .”

We must continually walk every moment crucifying our old selves and put on our new self in Christ Jesus. Living obediently to the life Jesus Christ calls us,
Galatians 2 v20 , “I have been crucified with Christ , it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh , I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me a gave Himself for me ?”

  2. Jesus wasn’t even the Messiahs real name and while he was the embodiment of the divine will of the Father he did not say to worship or pray to him. If Jesus was God then we too would become gods and that is not biblical, but rather a Mormon teaching. We are surely not gods or to become gods, but we are messiahs in the making, co-heirs with Yahshua to the right hand of the Father. As it is written in John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

    • You are right Ryan. This is always misinterpreted. Jesus had to be likewise as the brethren, to become as sin. With His resurrection, He became the head and we became the Body. If He became God, we have not any part of this cause we are mortal. No, dead will be conquered if we meet him in the air by His coming. Our body will also change as that of Him. Then we will see Him as the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, Peculiar people who are also Priest. Priest minister people of flesh and blood. He is the FIRST begotten Son, who produces SONS, who cry out FATHER. Sons know their Father. Who the Son knows, knows the Father. Be aware that God is Spirit, that works through the Son in us.

      • Nope. Because if he was/ is not God there is no hope of salvation at all. Might as well have been old Jason of Bethlehem up on the cross. We d be wasting our time & misplacing our faith completely if that’s the case. Pointless..
